Directions to the Race Site (Long Hunter State Park)

From Nashville, take I-40 East to Mt. Juliet Road, Exit 226-A. Go south (right) 6.2 miles to the main Long Hunter State Park entrance on your left. Follow the signs to Couchville Lake once you enter the park. NOTE THAT RACE SIGN-IN WILL BE OPEN FROM 8 AM UNTIL 9 AM. Racers arriving after 9 am may jeopardize their spot in the race. Long Hunter State Park is a solid 35-to-40 minute drive from Nashville.

Please note that you must sign in, get your race number, pick up your race shirt(s), select a canoe, size your paddles and mandatory PFDs, and tote your canoe down to the lake BEFORE the race director goes over race instructions at 9:15 AM sharp.

This is also prime time to prance about and try to psyche out the competition. It's also the best opportunity to try to decipher the canoe buoy course which has been laid out by the highly-secretive and distinguished Lost Loon buoy placement committee! Please, don't be late.
